“Very Nice Cabin Vacation (with Dog-friendly cabins)”
We loved Pine Rose Cabins and the scenic drive to get there. Now keep in mind, these are cabins, not motel rooms. The cabins are rustic, charming and very clean. These are not remote woods cabins, but rather are quite close together. If you are looking for seclusion, this is not the place for you. The weather was marvelous and we could choose between sitting on the front porch to enjoy the sunshine or sitting under a lovely shady pine in the backyard. The resort is quite. They say they have a trail, but it is really a very short path between the cabins. They do provide a list of true trails nearby. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I wish we had taken our swimsuits because they have a heated pool and hot tub — both are very nice. Games are available outside and board games can be borrowed from the office. There are a few snacks available in the office but a small market is located just up the road, as is a marvelous restaurant (The Grill at the Antler Inn). The cabins have a full kitchen and a good assortment of kitchenware. Free wifi is provided. TV in room. Pine Rose Cabins is a wedding location so they provide 3- and 4-day package pricing. My recommendation is to book well in advance and pack a portable hammock (some cabins have them, but not all). We really enjoyed our stay and will return for another visit within the year. 5.13.17
